Whether a president actually claims the mantel of being the “Education President,” as did George W. Bush, or simply declares education a “top priority,” every recent occupant of the White House has felt the need to tout their education credentials.  In his very first speech to a joint session of the Congress in early 2009, President Barack Obama promised that within a decade the U.S. will “have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world.”

Liberty Guard is proud to announce our partnership with Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) and more than 50 other pro-freedom organizations in opposing H.R. 5175, known as the DISCLOSE Act.

Liberty Guard signed a letter of opposition to the U.S. House of Representatives calling for the rejection of H.R. 5175 because the bill uses the recent Citizens United Supreme Court Ruling "as an excuse to expand the scope of campaign finance regulations to strangle free speech."

Thousands of census workers, including many temporary employees, are fanning out across America to gather information on the citizenry.  This is a process that takes place not only every decade in order to complete the constitutionally-mandated census; but also as part of the continuing "American Community Survey" conducted by the Census Bureau on a regular basis year in and year out.

"Nanny State" laws are popping up with increasing frequency as big-government advocates continue to be elected to offices from the city council to the White House.  What many Americans may not realize is the extent to which such invasive and pervasive government actions are spreading around the world, creating a "Nanny World."
